What we fix
Aqua Venta handles the water side of your central heating — the radiators, valves and connections — by appointment. We're not a 24/7 call-out service, but we'll get you booked in and tell you the cost before we start. Typical jobs include:
- Swapping or replacing a radiator — like-for-like or a different size
- Taking radiators off the wall for decorating, then re-hanging them
- Bleeding radiators that are cold at the top
- Sorting radiators cold at the bottom — usually a sludge or balancing issue on the water side
- Balancing the system so every radiator heats evenly
- Replacing radiator valves and TRVs (thermostatic valves)
- Fixing leaking valves, unions and connections
Common problems people call us about
Most calls fall into a few familiar patterns. A radiator cold at the top usually just needs bleeding. Cold at the bottom is a different story — that's often sludge sitting in the bottom of the rad, and it's a water-side fix. A valve that drips every time you knock it, or weeps where the pipe meets the radiator, needs the connection remaking or the valve swapping. And if you're decorating, we'll drain the radiator down, take it off cleanly and re-hang it once the walls are done — no mess left for you.
If a valve or radiator has already leaked and soaked the floor or carpet, we also hire out drying gear same-day — worth getting dryers running early before damp gets into skirtings and floorboards.
Water side only — no gas, no boiler
This is important, so we'll be straight with you: we work on the water side of radiators only. We do not touch the boiler and we do not do any gas work — our plumber is not Gas Safe registered. We'll happily swap a radiator, replace a valve or fix a leak on the pipework, but if your boiler is the problem — no hot water, pressure dropping, error codes, or the boiler itself leaking — that's a job for a Gas Safe engineer, and we'll point you towards one rather than touch something we're not registered for.
Everything we do is on the cold side of the gas appliance — the radiators, the valves and the pipework feeding them. If it involves gas or the boiler, it's not us.

It's phone-first and by appointment — no online forms to fill in and wait on. Here's how it goes:
