What we clear
Most blockages come down to the usual suspects — fat, hair, soap, food scraps and the odd thing that shouldn't have gone down there in the first place. We deal with:

How we actually clear it
We don't just tip a bottle of caustic chemicals down the pipe and hope. Harsh drain cleaners often shift nothing, sit in the trap and make the next job worse. Instead we clear the blockage properly — plunging, augering and rodding the pipe, taking the trap apart to clear it by hand where needed, then refitting it so it seals clean. Nine times out of ten it's a slow draining sink with a packed trap, and twenty minutes sorts it.
If the blockage has caused an overflow or water's got under the units, we also hire out drying kit — wet vacuums, air movers and dehumidifiers — same-day, so you can dry the place out properly rather than leaving damp to set in.

Smelly waste is another one: usually a dry or blocked trap letting drain air back into the room. Water, not gas
To be clear about what we do — we're a water plumbing service. Drains, taps, waste, leaks and the cold and hot water side of things. We're not Gas Safe registered, so we don't touch boilers, gas appliances or anything on the gas side. If your problem turns out to be a boiler or a gas fault, that needs a Gas Safe engineer — let us know and we'll happily point you towards one.

We work by appointment, not as a 24/7 emergency call-out — so we can turn up when we say and give the job the time it needs. If you've got an active leak or an overflow alongside the blockage, turn the water off at the stopcock first — usually under the kitchen sink — then phone us and we'll book you in.
